This bill provides for program units for licensed school employees certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. It amends existing law to change the terminology from "teachers" to "licensed school employees" and to require that the school district or charter school verify that the certified employees are receiving a one-time salary differential equal to or greater than the amount generated by the units multiplied by the program unit value. The bill applies to the 2022-2023 and subsequent school years.
