This bill amends the Reimagining Long-Term Care Task Force Act, which created a task force to study long-term care services in New York. The key changes are: 1) expanding the membership of the task force to include 22 appointed members, in addition to the director of the Office for the Aging, the Commissioner of Health, the Commissioner of Labor, and the Commissioner of the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities; 2) designating the Commissioner of Health and the director of the State Office for the Aging as co-chairs of the task force; and 3) changing the effective date of the law to 45 days after the end of the COVID-19 state of emergency, instead of immediately. The bill also requires that any data provided to the task force be kept confidential and used solely for the purposes of the task force.
