This bill prohibits the use of unmonitored ballot drop boxes in Arizona, with exceptions for drop boxes located inside polling places, voting centers, or election offices where staff is present to monitor them. For locations where staff presence is not practical, the county must provide 24/7 video surveillance of the drop box, and the recordings must be retained for four years. Additionally, the bill restricts the ability of voters to receive and cast ballots from a vehicle or other conveyance, except as required to comply with federal laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
