This bill amends the definition of "harassment, intimidation, or bullying" in the "Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act." The key change is that the definition is expanded to include a non-exhaustive list of characteristics, such as race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or a mental, physical or sensory disability, that can motivate such behavior. The bill also clarifies that the harassment, intimidation, or bullying can occur on school property, at school-sponsored functions, on school buses, or off school grounds under certain circumstances.
