This bill waives certain professional and occupational licensing fees for veterans and the spouses, domestic partners, or civil union partners of veterans who reside in New Jersey and hold a current license to practice the profession or occupation in another jurisdiction with equivalent or substantially equivalent licensing requirements. The bill defines "board" to mean a professional or occupational board that issues licenses, certificates of registration, or certifications, and "veteran" to mean a person who received an honorable discharge from the Armed Forces of the United States or the National Guard of any state. The bill also specifies that it will take effect on the first day of the third month following enactment.
