This bill provides that a governmental body in Indiana may not enter into a contract for the purchase of supplies or services worth at least $100,000 unless the contract contains a written verification from the person that the person does not have a practice, policy, guidance, or directive that discriminates against a "firearm entity" (which includes firearms manufacturers, distributors, and retailers) or a "firearm trade association" (which is a non-profit organization with at least two firearm entity members). The bill also specifies that the person must agree not to discriminate against such entities or associations during the term of the contract. The bill includes some exceptions, such as for sole source contracts and contracts where no suitable offers are received.
