This bill, the Satellite Cybersecurity Act, aims to address the cybersecurity of commercial satellite systems. It requires the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study and report to Congress on the federal government's efforts to support the cybersecurity of commercial satellite systems, including the effectiveness of these efforts, the resources available to address cybersecurity risks and threats, the reliance of critical infrastructure and federal agencies on commercial satellite systems, and the coordination and duplication of authorities across federal agencies. The bill also directs the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to establish and maintain a public-facing clearinghouse of cybersecurity recommendations for the development, operation, and maintenance of commercial satellite systems, particularly to assist small businesses.
