AI Summary

This bill, the Workplace Technology Accountability Act, would impose various duties on employers and their vendors regarding the collection and use of worker data. Specifically, it would grant workers the right to know, review, correct, and secure data collected from them, and limit the ability of employers to use that data beyond specified purposes. The bill would also impose limitations on electronic monitoring and the use of Automatic Decision Systems, and require employers to prepare and publish impact assessments for the use of various workplace technology. The bill would empower the Labor and Workforce Development Agency and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing to enforce these worker data protections, and establish penalties for violations.
