This bill amends existing Idaho law to prohibit local governments from enacting, maintaining, or enforcing any ordinances or resolutions that regulate the rent, fees, or deposits charged for leasing private residential property. Additionally, the bill requires landlords to provide tenants with at least 30 days' written notice of any rent increases or lease non-renewals. The bill also addresses adjustments to rent, services, utilities, or rules in manufactured home communities, stating that rental increases must be uniform across the community and that local governments are prohibited from controlling the amount of rent charged.
