This bill proposes a constitutional amendment to allow the proceeds of an existing ad valorem (property) tax in Pickens County, Alabama, which is currently distributed to volunteer fire departments for fire protection purposes, to also be used by those departments for emergency medical services. The amendment would allow the tax revenue to be used for purchasing medical equipment and supplies, and for providing emergency medical services. The proposed amendment would be voted on in the 2022 general election.
