This bill establishes a statewide organ donor registry by requiring a space on license application and renewal forms for applicants to indicate if they wish to make an anatomical gift. The motor vehicle division of the taxation and revenue department is required to maintain these completed application forms in the statewide donor registry. The bill also requires space to be included on license application and renewal forms issued by various boards and departments to allow applicants to indicate their donor status, with copies of these forms to be submitted to the motor vehicle division for inclusion in the statewide registry. The effective date for the provision related to concealed handgun license application forms is January 1, 2023.
