This bill appropriates $89,361,942 from the general fund to the Indian Affairs Department for fiscal years 2023 through 2026. The funds will be used to plan, design, renovate, expand, construct, equip, and furnish libraries and education centers for various Indian nations, tribes, and pueblos in New Mexico. The bill also provides funding for specific projects, including curriculum and materials development centers, an early childhood center, and education resource centers. Any unexpended or unencumbered balances will revert to the Tribal Infrastructure Project Fund within six months of project completion, but no later than fiscal year 2026.
