It acknowledges their rigorous training, which includes a bachelor's degree with pre-medical studies followed by a graduate-level program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, often in collaboration with a university medical school. This training involves extensive classroom, laboratory, and clinical experience, including administering anesthetics and performing critical tasks like managing airways and monitoring patients under the supervision of physician anesthesiologists, all within the anesthesia care team model.
