This bill amends the group insurance contribution requirements for school districts, charter schools, and participating entities in the Public School Insurance Authority. It increases the minimum percentage of insurance costs that employers must cover for employees based on the employee's annual salary. The bill also appropriates $10.591 million from the general fund to the state equalization guarantee distribution to assist with these group insurance contributions, and the provisions of the bill take effect on October 1, 2022.
