This bill creates the "Economic Diversification and Climate Resilience Fund" in the state treasury. The fund consists of distributions, appropriations, gifts, grants, and donations. The legislature can appropriate money from the fund for economic development efforts to attract investment and job creation in key sectors, workforce training and development, public infrastructure improvements, projects to support conservation and public lands, and other efforts to promote long-term economic growth, diversify the state economy, or reduce reliance on fossil fuel development. Agencies receiving appropriations from the fund for economic diversification purposes must report the impact of the appropriations to the legislative finance committee upon request.
