This Memorial requests the Governor to designate the second week of June as "Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants Week" to honor Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) as highly skilled healthcare professionals who work under the supervision of physician anesthesiologists. The Memorial highlights the rigorous educational and professional training CAAs undergo, including a bachelor's degree, a graduate-level program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, extensive clinical hours, and the administration of numerous anesthetics, all of which prepare them for crucial roles in patient care and the delivery of anesthesia services.
