This bill amends the New Mexico Procurement Code to exclude cooperative procurement agreements from the requirement of procurement through the state purchasing agent. The bill also clarifies the scope and limitations of such cooperative procurement agreements, including that they must be approved by the governing authorities involved and a copy filed with the state purchasing agent. The bill provides an exception for cooperative agreements involving public funds or property, which must be entered into under the Joint Powers Agreements Act.
