This Memorial requests the New Mexico Department of Transportation to consider restoring the Route 66 Musical Highway, a unique attraction built in 2014 in Tijeras Canyon. This "musical highway" features specially designed rumble strips that play a portion of "America the Beautiful" when driven over at the correct speed, and it was one of only six such installations worldwide. Unfortunately, the musical highway has fallen into disrepair, with much of it covered or damaged, and its signage removed, diminishing its potential as a tourism asset and source of enjoyment for residents.
