This bill creates the Economic Diversification and Climate Resilience Fund, a non-reverting fund in the state treasury. The fund will receive transfers from the Extraction Taxes Suspense Fund, as well as other appropriations, gifts, grants, and donations. The money in the fund can be appropriated by the legislature for economic development efforts in key sectors, workforce training and development, public infrastructure improvements, conservation and restoration projects, and other efforts to promote long-term economic growth, diversify the state economy, and reduce reliance on fossil fuel development. The bill also requires any agency that receives an appropriation from the fund to report on the impact of the appropriation to the Legislative Finance Committee upon request.
