This bill prohibits the circumvention of security measures, access control systems, or other technological controls used by ticket issuers to enforce ticket purchasing limits or maintain the integrity of online ticket purchasing rules. It makes it unlawful to sell or offer to sell tickets obtained through such circumvention, if the seller participated in or knew about the violation. The bill provides an exception for activities related to investigating, enforcing, or defending against violations, as well as research necessary to identify and analyze flaws in the security measures. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2022.
