This Memorial celebrates the FFA, formerly known as Future Farmers of America, a youth leadership organization that has been active in New Mexico for over eighty years, sponsoring chapters in both rural and urban areas and engaging over 3,600 young people in programs designed to develop essential life skills like leadership, citizenship, critical thinking, and problem-solving, which contribute to their transition into productive adults and foster increased confidence, positive self-identity, and a sense of purpose. In recognition of FFA's significant contributions to the state, this Memorial officially declares January 26, 2022, as "FFA Day" in the House of Representatives and mandates that a copy of this declaration be sent to the New Mexico FFA association.
