This bill appropriates $10 million from the general fund to the Local Government Division of the Department of Finance and Administration for various crime prevention and behavioral health initiatives in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. The funds will be used to provide incentives to recruit and retain public safety and behavioral health professionals, equip law enforcement and public safety officials for focused deterrence programs and community policing, increase funding for mobile school-based health centers, and expand public housing options to support permanent supportive vouchers, single-site housing, and transitional living facilities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance at the end of the fiscal year will revert to the general fund.
