This bill creates a web-based resource tool for at-risk students in New Mexico. The tool will provide information on educational programs, modules, interventions, and educational approaches focused on the needs of at-risk students, as well as contact information for local and regional educational experts. The New Mexico Public Education Department will develop and maintain the tool in collaboration with the Legislative Finance Committee and the Legislative Education Study Committee, and will convene an advisory group of stakeholders to provide recommendations on the tool's content. The bill also appropriates $250,000 from the general fund to the Public Education Department for fiscal year 2023 to develop and maintain the tool and hire a full-time employee to oversee it.
