This bill establishes a Statewide Information Security and Privacy Office within the Arizona Department of Homeland Security to develop and implement statewide information security policies, monitor compliance, coordinate training, and establish a Security Operations Center. The bill also expands the membership and duties of the Information Technology Authorization Committee and the Arizona Department of Homeland Security Regional Advisory Councils. Additionally, the bill allows the Statewide Information Security and Privacy Office to temporarily suspend the operation of a budget unit's information infrastructure to address security incidents or breaches.
