This bill creates reporting requirements for school districts and state-chartered charter schools in New Mexico related to their use of federal funds from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund. By July 1, 2022, schools must submit a report to the Public Education Department detailing how they have spent or plan to spend these funds, including the amount received, a detailed budget, programmatic uses, the projected impact on student achievement, the number of students served, and data on progress towards program goals. If funds remain unspent as of May 31, 2022 or 2023, additional reports will be required by July 1, 2023 and 2024 respectively. The Department must publish all submitted reports on its website within 30 days of receiving them.
