This bill amends existing law to provide certain limitations on firearms regulation during a state of disaster emergency. Specifically, it prohibits the governor or any government entity from imposing or enforcing additional restrictions on the lawful manufacturing, possession, transfer, sale, transport, storage, display, or use of firearms or ammunition, or otherwise limiting or suspending rights guaranteed by the U.S. or Idaho Constitution. The bill also declares the firearms industry, including manufacturing, sales, and training, as essential businesses and services for the purposes of safety and security during emergencies. Additionally, it restricts the seizure, commandeering, or confiscation of privately-owned firearms, ammunition, or related components during a state of disaster emergency.
