The study will examine how this development might impact the finances of the state of New Mexico, the city of Albuquerque, the Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority, the Albuquerque Public School District, the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority, and Bernalillo County government. The memorial highlights concerns about the development's significant demand on water resources, which could further strain existing water supplies already impacted by drought and affect local farmers and ranchers. The findings are to be reported to legislative committees by December 1, 2022.
