The bill also creates a new section that allows the Department of Motor Vehicles to immediately suspend a driver's license, privileges, and permit upon receiving notice from a court that a person has failed to pay the penalty for a traffic infraction judgment. The suspension would continue until the penalty is paid, and the license could be reinstated upon proof of payment. This bill aims to address the issue of unpaid traffic infractions and the suspension of driver's licenses as a result.
