This bill requires the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines Commission to maintain a publicly searchable database that provides information on criminal sentences stayed or imposed by the courts. The database must include detailed information such as case numbers, defendant names, offense dates, judicial districts, counties, judges, crimes, criminal history scores, sentence lengths, and whether the sentence was a departure from sentencing guidelines. The database must allow users to search, sort, and download the data. The bill also appropriates funding to the Sentencing Guidelines Commission to develop and maintain the database.
