This bill allows candidate and campaign committees to make contributions to their affiliated state party executive committees without limit. Previously, there were restrictions on the amount of contributions that could be made by other persons, political parties, or political action committees to state party executive committees. The bill also removes the $5,000 limit on coordinated expenditures by state party committees and caucus campaign committees in connection with certain statewide candidate campaigns. Additionally, the bill removes the $15,000 calendar year limit on contributions from candidate committees to state party executive committees or state party legislative caucus committees.
