This bill amends and adds to existing law to provide for Idaho's participation in the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact. It also requires applicants for audiology and speech-language pathology licensure to submit fingerprints for a criminal history background check. The key provisions of the bill include: 1) establishing the interstate compact to facilitate the practice of audiology and speech-language pathology across state lines, 2) setting educational, examination, and other requirements for audiologists and speech-language pathologists to obtain a compact privilege to practice in other member states, 3) authorizing the interstate commission to oversee, enforce, and administer the compact, and 4) requiring applicants for licensure in Idaho to submit fingerprints for a criminal history background check.
