This bill appropriates a total of $32 million in fiscal year 2023 from the general fund to the Commissioner of Employment and Economic Development for grants to six children's museums across Minnesota. The grants will fund capital improvements such as new buildings, renovations, expansions, and upgrades to facilities and outdoor spaces at the Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota in Mankato, Great River Children's Museum in St. Cloud, Judy Garland Children's Museum in Grand Rapids, Otter Cove Children's Museum in Fergus Falls, WonderTrek Children's Museum in Baxter, and Duluth Children's Museum in Duluth. The appropriations are one-time and available until the projects are completed or abandoned.
