This bill establishes the Blockchain Promotion and Integration Program within the New Jersey Commission on Science, Innovation and Technology. The program aims to increase public awareness of blockchain and decentralized digital technologies, provide assistance to businesses in integrating these technologies, establish connections with the business community, conduct research on commercial opportunities, offer technical and financial assistance to blockchain companies considering locating in New Jersey, and represent the interests of New Jersey-based firms in national and international markets. The Commission is required to analyze the state of the blockchain and decentralized digital technology sectors in New Jersey and report to the Governor and Legislature on the progress and recommendations for further integration of the technology with businesses in the state.
