This bill directs the Commissioner of Human Services, in partnership with counties, local social services agencies, Minnesota's Tribal governments, and the Indian Child Welfare Advisory Council, to develop a plan by January 15, 2023, to streamline and minimize required paperwork for child protection cases. The plan must include a summary of proposed changes, a timeline for implementation, and procedures for soliciting and incorporating ongoing input from relevant stakeholders to ensure the planned improvements maximize benefits for children in placement, foster care providers, Tribes, counties, and private child placing agencies.
