This bill establishes a Pesticide Control Modernization and Environmental Protection Task Force to study the state's statutes, regulations, and practices governing pesticide control and make recommendations to improve the ability to prevent and mitigate adverse impacts of pesticide use on the environment and public health. The task force will review issues related to the structure, membership, and operation of the Pesticide Board and Pesticide Board Subcommittee, the state's relationship with federal pesticide regulators, the effectiveness of current laws and regulations, the licensing and continuing education process for pesticide users, and public awareness and education. The task force will file its findings and recommendations with the legislature by March 31, 2023.
