This bill amends the tax law and state finance law to allow taxpayers to voluntarily contribute to the Uterine Fibroids Education Fund through their personal or corporate income tax returns. The funds collected will be used to support educational projects related to uterine fibroids, which are noncancerous growths in the uterus, for both healthcare providers and the public, as approved by the Department of Health. The bill establishes the Uterine Fibroids Education Fund, which will be managed by the Commissioner of Taxation and Finance and the Comptroller, and requires that the funds be expended before the end of each fiscal year to the extent practicable.
