This bill prohibits discrimination on the basis of height or weight under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. The bill amends various sections of the law to include height and weight as protected characteristics, alongside existing protections for race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, familial status, disability, and nationality. The bill also provides that accommodations, facilities, and privileges may be denied on the basis of height or weight for bona fide safety reasons in certain circumstances.
