This bill, the "Make American Flags in America Act of 2022," requires that any American flags displayed on federal property or procured by federal agencies must be made entirely in the United States. The bill amends the United States Code to prohibit federal agencies from displaying or procuring flags that are not 100% manufactured in the U.S. from U.S.-produced materials. The bill also requires the Federal Trade Commission to conduct a study on the enforcement and effectiveness of country-of-origin labeling requirements for American flags, and to provide recommendations for improving the enforcement and deterrent effect of these requirements.
