This bill, the Lake Winnibigoshish Land Exchange Act of 2022, authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to exchange certain public lands in the Chippewa National Forest. Specifically, it directs the Secretary to accept an offer from Big Winnie Land and Timber, LLC (BWLT) to convey approximately 37.5 acres of non-Federal land to the United States in exchange for approximately 7.6 acres of Federal land. The exchange must be for equal value, or the values can be equalized through a cash payment from BWLT to the United States. The acquired land will be added to and managed as part of the Chippewa National Forest in accordance with laws and regulations for National Forest System lands.
