This bill amends Section 405 of the Worker's Disability Compensation Act of 1969 to clarify the eligible individuals for the Christopher R. Slezak first responder presumed coverage fund. Expanding the list of eligible individuals to include part-time, paid on-call, volunteer, or former members of fire departments or public fire authorities, as well as full-time, part-time, paid on-call, volunteer, or former forest fire officers or fire/crash rescue officers. 2. Establishing a presumption that certain types of cancer (respiratory tract, bladder, skin, brain, kidney, blood, thyroid, testicular, prostate, lymphatic, ovarian, breast, or non-HPV cervical) are work-related for these eligible individuals, provided they have at least 60 months of active service and were exposed to the hazards of fire suppression, rescue, or emergency medical services. 3. Creating the Christopher R. Slezak first responder presumed coverage fund in the state treasury, to be administered by the director, to pay claims authorized under the new provisions. 4. Requiring the director to develop and implement the application, approval, and compliance process for the fund, and to submit annual reports on the fund's activities.
