This bill amends the Inspector General Act of 1978 to establish a Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) Inspector General. Specifically, it adds the Executive Director of the FRTIB to the list of officials from whom the Inspector General can receive and investigate complaints. It also adds the FRTIB to the list of entities that the Inspector General has authority to oversee. This change will provide independent oversight of the FRTIB, which manages the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement savings and investment plan for federal government employees.
