This bill enacts the "Parents' Bill of Rights" to require public schools to adopt a policy that: 1) notifies parents of any instruction involving sexually explicit content and allows them to request alternative instruction; 2) notifies parents of changes to a student's mental, emotional, or physical health services or monitoring; 3) prohibits school personnel from discouraging parental involvement in their child's health and education; and 4) requires schools to notify parents of all health care services offered and work with them to create a health care plan for each student. The bill also amends existing law to require community schools and STEM schools to comply with these new parental notification and involvement requirements.
