This bill amends existing law to require payment of tuition for certain non-resident public school students. The key provisions include: (1) allowing school boards to admit non-resident students with the payment of tuition, with a uniform tuition amount set by the board and approved by the executive county superintendent; (2) providing an exception for students whose parent or guardian is a member of the New Jersey National Guard or a reserve component of the armed forces and has been ordered into active military service, resulting in the student's relocation out of the district; and (3) specifying that the provisions do not apply to a county vocational school district. The bill takes effect immediately and applies starting with the first full school year following enactment.
