This Concurrent Resolution authorizes the use of the Capitol's rotunda, a prominent central space within the U.S. Capitol building, for a special ceremony. This ceremony, scheduled for December 6, 2022, is to formally present Congressional Gold Medals, which are the highest civilian honor bestowed by the U.S. Congress, to the United States Capitol Police and other individuals who defended the Capitol during the events of January 6, 2021. The resolution also specifies that any physical arrangements for this event must follow the guidelines set by the Architect of the Capitol, the official responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Capitol building and grounds.
