This bill, known as the "Save Women's Sports Act," prohibits biological males from participating in athletic teams or sports designated for biological females in middle schools, high schools, and colleges. It also prohibits any governmental entity, licensing or accrediting organization, or athletic association from taking adverse action against a school or institution for maintaining separate sports teams for biological females. Additionally, the bill states that public schools, private middle or high schools, or public or private postsecondary institutions with biological males playing in biological females' sports are ineligible for state funding. The bill defines "biological females" and "biological males" based on biological indicators of sex, rather than an individual's psychological or subjective experience of gender.
