This Joint Resolution proposes an amendment to the South Carolina Constitution that would define a person's gender for the purposes of the state constitution and laws as their biological sex at birth, specifically referencing characteristics like sex chromosomes, hormones, gonads, and genitalia, and explicitly excluding any psychological, chosen, or subjective experience of gender.
