This bill permits the holder of a rectifier and blender license to sell the licensee's distilled beverage products at seasonal farm markets, on the licensed premises for off-premises consumption, and at off-premises special events. Current law provides that the holders of a limited brewery license, restricted brewery license, craft distillery license, plenary winery license, farm winery license, and cidery and meadery license may obtain a daily or annual permit from the Director of the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to sell any of the licensee's products in original containers at a seasonal farm market for consumption off of the premises of the seasonal farm market. Under the bill, holders of a rectifier and blender license also would be eligible to obtain a permit to sell at seasonal farm markets. The bill additionally provides that the license holder would be permitted to sell the licensee's product at retail to consumers on the licensed premises and at off-premises special events for consumption off the premises in a quantity of not more than five liters per person.
