This bill redirects approximately $21.7 million in State funds included in the fiscal year 2023 appropriations act for specific arts, cultural, and historic organizations to a competitive grant program in the Department of State called the Arts, Cultural, and Historic Organizations Fund. The bill also redirects $5 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act funds to the program, which funds are currently dedicated for New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Community Center.
