This bill, the Holocaust Education and Antisemitism Lessons Act (HEAL Act), directs the Department of Education to conduct a study on Holocaust education efforts in public elementary and secondary schools. The study will identify states and school districts that require Holocaust education, assess the quality of the education provided, analyze the instructional materials and assessments used, and examine the duration and comprehensiveness of Holocaust-related courses or lessons. The Director of the Institute of Education Sciences will then submit a report to Congress detailing the findings of this study within three years of the bill's enactment.
