This bill modifies the notice requirements for unemployment benefits in Minnesota. It requires the initial correspondence sent to each base period employer upon an application for unemployment benefits to provide the employer an opportunity to select whether any unemployment benefits paid to the applicant should not be used in computing the employer's future tax rate or should not be charged to the employer's reimbursable account. The bill also requires the correspondence to be written in plain language and in a form and manner understandable to a person of average intelligence.
